Trying To Find A Job

I also believe that a company should hire people that will get along with their staff. The work produced by that company will be at a hire level compared to a company that has employees that do not get along with each other. I have worked plenty of times with people that I did not get along with. Even though we got the project finished it was harder to complete because we all worked alone, and rarely had meetings to get an understanding of what the finished product would be.

As a future employee of a company I hope that I will get along with the staff that I am working with because it will help me get familiar with the way that company does business.

Dual Coding Theory

Recently I have been seeing hip hop artists promoting products for companies in commercials. They grab my attention, but they spark a negative reaction from me. Snoop Dogg is now currently on a commercial on USA, he is promoting monday night wrestling. Even though I like some of his earlier music I am not a fan of wrestling so I am not affected by the commercial.

A couple of months ago hip hop artist T.I. was in a Chevrolet commercial promoting their latest cars. I don't like T.I.'s music, and I do not have any money to buy a Chevrolet so their message goes in one ear, and right out the other.

Group Work

Even though we have not met as a whole each member of the group has completed the task they were given. Each time we come up with ideas we email each other to make sure each member receives the information. We have not met as a whole because of the architecture trip, and interviews that occured a couple of weeks ago. When I have met with the group I always make sure that I share the information with the members of the group that was not there. When I missed a couple of the group meetings I was informed about what was discussed at the meeting.

Interview Reflection

I think the interview went pretty well. It helped me prepare to answer questions that might be difficult to answer. This interview also made me think about some of the questions that could be possibly asked at an interview.

I was given advice on how to improve my resume. This was helpful because I would rather have any mistakes corrected on my resume now to improve my chances of getting the job that I apply for.

Downtown Greenville

I went to downtown Greenville for the first time Friday night. It's a lot different from downtown Clemson. My friends, and I went to a restaurant called Sticky Fingers. I ordered a hamburger that was almost as big as the plate. It was really good though.

The bars located in downtown Greenville are more laid back compared to the bars in Clemson because they are not crowded with people. I was actually able to hear what someone said to me because it was not that loud in the bar. At triple T's I have to scream just to be heard by someone I'm talking to.

We also shot pool at a pool hall called the Corner Pocket.

It's Only A Matter Of Time

I started working on this rhyme Friday titled "It's Only A Matter Of Time". I finished the first verse to the song now all I have to do is come up with a chorus, and second verse. A friend of mine told me about this new website that promotes underground music called indiefeed.com. This website features some artists that I have never heard before it is good to know that there are more people that support the real hip hop. I spent most of my weekend hanging out with my friends, and trying to come up with new ideas for the song I am working on.

Resumes

Using a video camera to create a resume.
After reading this article I was surprised that this can be done. I did not realize that technology has become such a dominate form of communication in the world today. The article suggested that if someone does attempt to create a resume this way they should keep it simple, be honest, and express their creativity.
I thought this was the most creative way to create a resume because most people write their resumes. I will consider creating a resume this way because it's creative, and it will stand out from the other resumes.
